Can I apply for a Waiver of capping of marks when my Semester 1 results are released - Hot Topic
If there is an Absent judgement for the module concerned, you will be registered in July 2025 for the Autumn supplemental examination session. Scheduled examinations for this session will take place over the first 2 weeks of August.
If you have mitigating circumstances which kept you from attending scheduled end of Semester 1 examinations you can apply for a waiver of capping of marks so that your marks will be uncapped. Ordinarily, if a student does not pass a first attempt examination/assessment results for the Supplemental opportunity are capped at the minimum pass mark.
To make an application you must wait until your results are released. You can then access the Semester 1 Waiver of capping of marks application form to apply.

To access your results open My Student Admin Click on Examinations, Exam Results and click on the relevant Qualification code which will bring you to your results.
