I am an Undergraduate, why are my fee so high? How are my fees broken down?

Your fees are made up of three components: the capitation fee (€138), student contribution (€3,000), and tuition fees (the amount depends on the course). The capitation fee of €138, must be paid by all students, including students in receipt of the SUSI grant.

If you are a first-time or a progressing student, you are liable for €3,138 as your tuition fee will be paid by the HEA (usually in November/December) and it will be credited to your fees account once they settle their bill with the university.
