How can I defer modules/examinations? - Hot Topic


For information relating to Mitigation - Deferral of Modules/Examinations including deadline dates and supporting documentation required for an application, please see Examinations Mitigation.
 
Please note deadlines to defer for Undergraduate students have now passed and regarding Taught Masters students the deadline to defer taught modules has also passed. However, a Taught Masters student can still apply to defer the Dissertation element of the programme concerned.
If you have all the information you require including supporting documentation you can apply to defer using the Online Deferral application form
 
If a Taught Masters student has a query about deferring the dissertation module due to mitigating circumstances please submit a request using the Web Enquiry Form selecting Examinations, Mitigation - Exam deferral query, giving the module code(s) and a brief explanation as to why you are requesting a deferral. Please be advised all information provided will be treated confidentially.
We will then get back to you with advice.
 
For Undergraduate and Taught Masters students who have a query regarding mitigation for the Summer exams commencing on the 26th April including submission of assignments etc please submit a request using the Web Enquiry Form selecting Examinations, Mitigation - Waiver of capping of marks query, giving the module code(s) and a brief explanation as to why you are requesting mitigation. Please be advised all information provided will be treated confidentially.
