The Examination Appeals Committee (EAC) is an independent committee appointed by the Academic Council. It comprises of academics and external legal advisors. The EAC has sole authority to decide on an appeal.
If a member of the EAC has any potential conflict of interest with regards to your appeal (e.g. the EAC member is an academic in the Department of the module you are appealing), they are not allowed to review, give an opinion or take any part in the discussion or judgement on the appeal.
For further information please see exam appeals, mitigation, and re-checks.
