What is Google Print and why should I use it?

Google Print is an easy way for you to print a document from your personal device without having to login to an Open Access PC. You can do so from your smartphone using any Google app or by using Google Drive/Sheets/Slides etc from a browser.

iOS:

  1. Open a Google application e.g. Drive, Docs, Slides etc. with your umail.ucc.ie account.
  2. Click on the three dots “...” to open the menu for that file.
  3. Choose “Print”.
  4. Choose “Google Cloud Print”.
  5. Choose “SIT Print Default”.
  6. Choose Duplex settings and “Print”.
  7. Release your print job from any SIT Printer (black and white support only at present).

Android:

  1. Open a Google application e.g. Drive, Docs, Slides etc. with your umail.ucc.ie account.
  2. Click on the three dots “...” to open the menu for that file.
  3. Choose “Share > Print”.
  4. Choose “Google Cloud Print”.
  5. Choose “SIT Print Default”.
  6. Choose Duplex settings and “Print”.
  7. Release your print job from any SIT Printer (black and white support only at present).

Web Browser:

  1. Open Google Drive/Sheets/Slides etc.
  2. Open document.
  3. Click Print.
  4. Change Destination to “SIT Print Default” (you may have to click “See more…” to view this option).
  5. Release your print job from any SIT Printer (black and white support only at present).
