How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?
Windows 8/8.1/10 device:
- Select eduroam from the available Wi-Fi networks in the bottom right hand corner.
- Enter your Student IT account details as StudentNum@umail.ucc.ie and your password.
- Choose Connect
All Apple devices:
- Select eduroam from the available Wi-Fi networks in the top right corner.
- Enter your Student IT account details as StudentNum@umail.ucc.ie and your password.
- Choose Connect.
Android:
- Go to Wi-Fi settings and select eduroam.
- Leave EAP method as PEAP.
- Leave Phase 2 authentication to MSCHAPV2.
- Set Identity to your StudentNum@umail.ucc.ie.
- Leave Anonymous Identity blank.
- Set password to your Student IT Account password.
Windows 7:
- In the start menu type Manage wireless networks and select.
- Choose Add and Manually create a network profile.
- Enter the network name as eduroam and choose security type as WPA2-Enterprise.
- Click Next and Change connection settings.
- Select the security tab and choose the settings button
- Untick Validate server certificate.
- Under Select Authentication method choose Configure.
- Untick Automatically use my Windows... and click OK.
- Click OK and OK again.
- Click Advanced settings.
- Select Specify Authentication mode and select User Authentication
- Enter your Student IT account details as StudentNum@umail.ucc.ie and your password when prompted.
Kindle:
- Go to the home screen.
- Select Menu and Turn on Wireless from the list of options.
- Select Menu and Settings.
- Select eduroam from the list of Wi-Fi networks.
- Enter your Student IT account details as StudentNum@umail.ucc.ie and your password.
- Choose Connect.
Linux:
- Open the network manager.
- Click eduroam
- Enter the following options
