When you do Garda Vetteing, this only assesses your criminal history on the island of Ireland. Seeing as we need to be thorough in our checks we also need you to submit a Police Certificate or Police Clearance if you have lived in any country other than Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16. If this is not the case then you do not need Police Clearance from another country. However, if you have resided in a country for 6 months or more since the age of 16 then please contact the police in that country to get a Police Clearance document. Please then submit this to the Garda Vetting team who are located in the Admissions Office.
