I am registered with the Disability Support Service, where can I borrow a Laptop/Chromebook?
A dedicated webpage for information about COVID-19, containing FAQ’s, can be accessed here
DSS Reserved Laptops/Chromebooks are available to borrow for up to 4 hours from the LapSafe Units located in:
- Ground floor of the Boole Library (72 Chromebooks with 10 designated to DSS students)
- Brookfield Health Science Complex (24 Chromebooks with 2 designated to DSS students)
As part of the package of COVID supports for higher and further education institutions, the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science has allocated funding to support disadvantaged students in the higher education sector in accessing ICT devices.
Under the scheme, undergraduate or postgraduate students may be eligible to receive a laptop, on long-term loan, in order to assist with online learning.
The UCC Laptop Loan scheme is available to you this academic year if you need to borrow a laptop for your studies and meet the eligibility criteria. This scheme is open to new and continuing students.
Please visit Laptop Loan scheme for more details on eligibility and how to apply.
