Can I repeat a module I have already passed?

Please note: A dedicated webpage for information about COVID-19, containing FAQ’s, can be accessed here.

If you are a student who decided to sit a Semester 2 examination and are unhappy with the grade you achieved, you may choose to resit your examination at the Supplemental Examination period. You can apply for this online before 3rd July 2020 here: https://forms.ucc.ie/mitigation

If you have passed a Semester 1 module but your performance in an exam or assessment was impacted by documented circumstances, you can apply for permission to re-take the exam or assessment in the Autumn and agree to forfeit the pass mark you achieved in the first sitting. The mark you achieve in the repeat exam or assessment will not be capped. To apply for this facility, use the Mitigation Application Form – Waiver of Capping.
