Can I repeat a module I have already passed?

Please note: A dedicated webpage for information about COVID-19, containing FAQ’s, can be accessed here.

If you have passed a module but your performance in an exam or assessment was impacted by documented circumstances, you can apply for permission to re-take the exam or assessment in the Autumn and agree to forfeit the pass mark you achieved in the first sitting. The mark you achieve in the repeat exam or assessment will not be capped. To apply for this facility, use the Mitigation Application Form – Waiver of Capping.

Please note that you cannot apply for this facility in February when you receive provisional results from Semester 1 - you must wait until your results have been approved by an exam board in May/June.
