If I am delayed or sick on the day of an exam, what should I do? - Hot Topic

If you are unavoidably delayed, e.g. car breaks down, contact the Examination Centre at 021-4902368. If no other student has left the exam, you will be allowed to sit the exam. You will need to provide proof of the reason for your delay.

If you are unable to attend an exam due to illness, you do not need to contact anyone on the day. You will be automatically registered for the supplemental exam opportunity (if available). You should submit a “Mitigation Application Form – Waiver of Capping” before your supplemental exam, to request the waiver of capping of marks at the supplemental or repeat year exams.

If you feel unwell during an exam, let an invigilator know. If you are able to continue with the exam, there will be a record of your illness. You should submit medical certification even if you do complete the exam. If you cannot complete the exam, you should submit a “Mitigation Application Form – Waiver of Capping” before your supplemental exam, to request the waiver of capping of marks at the supplemental or repeat year exams.

Under no circumstances will an alternative exam paper/assessment be provided for students who are unable to attend an exam at the scheduled time.
