If I am sick on the day of an exam, what should I do?

Please note: A dedicated webpage for information about COVID-19, containing FAQ’s, can be accessed here.

If you are unable to sit an exam/assessment due to illness, you do not need to contact anyone on the day. You will be automatically registered for the supplemental opportunity (if available). If you are sick on the day of a supplemental exam/assessment, you will be automatically registered to repeat that module in the following academic year.

You should submit a waiver of capping application, which will be available online once the module results have been finalised and released. If approved, your marks will not be capped at the supplemental or repeat year exam/assessment.

Under no circumstances will an alternative exam paper/assessment be provided for students who are unable to attend an exam at the scheduled time.
