If you are unable to sit a scheduled end of semester exam due to illness, you do not need to contact anyone on the day. You will be marked Absent and automatically registered for the supplemental opportunity (if available). For information regarding a supplemental opportunity for the module(s) concerned see the Book of Modules

Please note than under no circumstances will an alternative exam paper/assessment be provided for students who are unable to attend a scheduled end of semester exam.

As illness is a mitigating circumstance you can apply for Mitigation - Waiver of capping of marks and if successful your marks in the repeat opportunity will be uncapped. Ordinarily, a student registered for a supplemental opportunity is capped.
